Synopsis: This week on “Learn Me Something,” Aaron and Rich delve into the topic of sleep, a follow up to our episode on dreams. How does science define sleep and what are all of the components that make it up? Why are some people unable to get regular restful sleep? There’s a ton of research that is being done on the subject, so we scratch the surface of that in this podcast to try and figure it all out.
Sleep is a naturally recurring state of mind and body, characterized by altered consciousness, relatively inhibited sensory activity, inhibition of nearly all voluntary muscles, and reduced interactions with surroundings.
